Avaria Foundation is a non-profit organization dedicated to serving humanity, protecting animals, preserving the environment, and empowering communities through sustainable social development initiatives. Founded with the vision of creating a compassionate and self-reliant society, the Foundation works across multiple sectors to uplift the lives of underprivileged individuals and families. Our key initiatives include Old Age Home & Elderly Care, Street Dog Rescue, Shelter & Feeding, Cow Care (Gomata Seva), Free Education for Needy Children, Free Medical Assistance, Disaster Relief & Rehabilitation, Clothes and Food Distribution, Skill Development & Vocational Training, Agriculture & Rural Development, Environmental Protection, Sports Development, and the preservation of cultural and spiritual heritage through the management and support of Hindu Kali Mandirs. At Avaria Foundation, we believe that every life matters. Through the dedication of our volunteers, supporters, and community partners, we strive to bring hope, dignity, opportunity, and care to those who need it most. Our mission is to create lasting social impact by addressing immediate needs while building pathways toward long-term development and empowerment.

Our Story Over the Years
Founding of AVARIA FOUNDATION
AVARIA FOUNDATION was founded in India, WR with a vision to improve the lives of marginalized communities. Our founders, led by SOHAGINI CHAKRABORTY, brought together a team of passionate individuals who shared a commitment to social justice and community empowerment. In our early years, we focused on providing education and healthcare services to rural communities in WR.
Expansion to New Areas
In 2026, we expanded our programs to new areas in WR, including India. We launched new initiatives in education, healthcare, and economic empowerment, which resulted in a significant increase in our outreach and impact. Our team grew to 20 staff members, and we established partnerships with local organizations and government agencies.
Introduction of New Programs
In 2026, we introduced new programs in the areas of environmental sustainability and advocacy. Our environmental program focused on promoting renewable energy and reducing carbon emissions in WR. Our advocacy program aimed to promote policy changes that would benefit marginalized communities.
Scaling Up of Programs
In 2026, we scaled up our programs to reach more beneficiaries in WR. We expanded our education program to 10 new districts and our healthcare program to 5 new districts. Our team grew to 50 staff members, and we established new partnerships with private sector companies and government agencies.
Response to COVID-19
In 2026, we responded to the COVID-19 pandemic by launching new programs to support affected communities in WR. We provided emergency relief, including food and healthcare services, to thousands of families. Our team worked tirelessly to ensure that our programs continued to operate safely and effectively during the pandemic.
New Partnerships and Collaborations
In 2026, we established new partnerships and collaborations with organizations in WR and nationally. We worked with private sector companies to launch new programs in education and economic empowerment. Our partnerships resulted in a significant increase in our outreach and impact.
Consolidation and Reflection
In 2026, we took stock of our progress and reflected on our achievements and challenges. We consolidated our programs and made adjustments to ensure that we were maximizing our impact. Our team engaged in a process of self-reflection and learning, which helped us to identify areas for improvement and to develop new strategies for growth.

We will continue to innovate and adapt to changing circumstances, and we will remain committed to our core values of community empowerment, inclusive development, and environmental sustainability.
